Welcome to our second newsletter of 2018, which brings you up-to-date with all the latest developments at PACOM.
Thanks for all the positive feedback we received following our first newsletter – I’m pleased that so many of you found it so useful. It’s been a tremendously busy, but rewarding, 2018 so far and we have some exciting announcements planned for the months ahead.
Having introduced a number of significant additions to our ever-expanding portfolio, the PACOM Alliance Network continues to go from strength to strength. By collaborating with technology providers that are also leaders within their respective industries, we are able to leverage all the advantages of cybersecurity, physical security, the cloud, the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data in order to develop smarter solutions.
A key development affecting operational practices occurred in May with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With far reaching implications for the way that personal data is acquired, processed and stored, PACOM has worked hard to help customers remain GDPR compliant by introducing highly effective management tools into our solutions.
It was great to meet so many customers and partners at IFSEC International 2018. Our IP based Graphical Management System (GMS) generated significant interest, as did the Unison integrated security management platform, which helps to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes. We’re constantly developing news ways to improve its functionality and Unison 5.9 has just been released.
In my opinion, the best way for end users and value added resellers (VARs) to get the most out of PACOM’s solutions is to take advantage of our training courses. To that end we have just re-developed our training facilities in Leeds and made some exciting additions to our current training schedule. There’s more information on our new website, which offers an improved user experience and is available in four different languages – English, French, Swedish and Spanish. You can read more about its features and benefits elsewhere in this newsletter, so don’t forget to take a look and let us know what you think about it.
One of the most thought-provoking articles in the last newsletter was from Gavin O’Keeffe, PACOM’s global technical director. I’m delighted that Gavin is once again on board to offer insight into how PACOM’s research and development (R&D) team goes about delivering devices that push the boundaries of what’s possible with security and access control technology for organisations within verticals such as banking and finance, healthcare, education, critical infrastructure, logistics, telecommunications and utilities.
With much more besides the above, I hope that you enjoy this newsletter and if you have any questions or comments, please contact us.
