PACOM, a specialist in scalable security and business management systems, today announced the industry’s first integration of PowerG wireless sensor technology outside the Johnson Controls portfolio. This integration brings professional-grade wireless security to the PACOM VIGIL CORE unified platform. This integration makes the security installation of sensors faster, more flexible, and more reliable.
This new offering sets a benchmark for wireless security by combining PowerG’s long-range, battery-efficient sensors with PACOM’s enterprise-class security and business management platform. Dealers and installers now have a solution that eliminates complex wiring, cuts installation time and cost, and adapts effortlessly to challenging and multi-site environments, all without sacrificing security or reliability.
Unlike conventional systems, the PowerG range delivers up to 1.24 miles of encrypted, frequency-hopping communication. Its adaptive power technology ensures battery life of up to eight years per device, enabling dependable wireless protection for large commercial spaces, campuses, and complex properties where cabling is prohibitive or regular upgrades are required.
Installers will benefit from rapid deployment and easy expansion. End-users benefit from reduced system complexity and lower costs.
PACOM’s approved integrated wireless sensors include wireless door/window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, and panic buttons. Additional approved sensors are coming soon. All wireless sensors operate seamlessly with a PowerG Host Transceiver and the proprietary CORE security panels, managed on a unified platform.
