PACOM EMCS is a scalable middleware application that enhances PACOM GMS by managing real-time messaging of multiple field controllers. While GMS is suitable for systems with up to 24 field devices, EMCS supports an unlimited number of 8002/8003 controllers, providing a flexible and scalable security infrastructure. EMCS also connects 8002/8003 controllers and field devices to PACOM VIGIL CORE via its VIGIL CORE Gateway functionality.
EMCS can be deployed from one server to many across various locations, securely connecting multiple devices and applications with a distributed network of sites (controllers) or third-party monitoring systems. The system uses various communication channels for redundancy and cost-efficient message routing.
EMCS gathers and routes alarms and messages by collecting data from sites and forwarding it to monitoring systems such as PACOM GMS, VIGIL CORE and third-party systems. It also sends commands from monitoring equipment to the PACOM system, supporting proprietary PACOM messaging protocols and industry-standard contact ID format messages.
